skipped church and continued to work on 2209 literature review in the morning, went to cambodia 'compulsory' meeting at 230, then straight to uni to continue working on the assignment. moved from scibry to mcl at around 6... then ended up going home at around 9/10ish. slept at 5am - latest i've ever stayed up for an assignment i think.

woke up at 8ish to get to uni by 9. drank my soup outside science cafe while chris read through my lit review. group meeting from 10am, handed in lit review at 11:45am, assessed lab debate 12pm, home to recover from lack of sleep. watched an awesome ep of criminal minds while painting my nails with some opi, suzie says feng shui.

remembered how much my dog loves smackos. no joke. the commerical doesn't lie.

woke up... watered the plants, started dad's car, played with the dog, fed the dog brekky... off to uni i went, picked up kfc on the way for the bf and myself. waited outside physics for josh to finish class to give him his food, bumped into chris who was on the way to class. went to my stats class, then MCL to work on stats assignment. home for tutoring.

woke up, went to uni, picked up red rooster on the way for the bf and i. met up with him to eat, the straight to MCL to work on assignment again. i hate when MCL is completely booked out - all the computers are not even being USED. i don't know why they don't leave one block free -___-" followed josh to reid for about 15 minutes, until rob called me and said it had unbooked as it had just passed 12pm... worked on assignment, stat class at 2, tute at 3, camped at MCL all night with these two guys that i befriended from my stats class. while one went to pick up some equipment or something, i went to dinner with rob...

it's really confusing because there are three robs i know this semester, two are in my stats class (asian rob and tall rob) with one of them also doing psyc (tall rob), and then there's the other rob whose doing psyc and is in my lab (white rob) and i did the debate with. but yeah, so i have these three robs in my phone address book, and i keep accidently messaging / calling the wrong one.. zzz. 

so anyways, asian rob insisted we went to grilled because he dislike broadway :( and wanted to eat proper food.

the meat pattie thing is quite healthy o___O...

the chips are good!

looking at their production line style reminded me of something we learnt in mgmt about specialisation and when you do the same small thing over and over again (e.g. spread the bun with sauce) it gets boring, repetitive and job satisfaction decreases.

adam joined us back after picking up his thingo and then we camped at MCL til about 1am.

woke up a bit after 11... reached uni at 1ish... called work to ask if i could come in later... went to visit lecturer for assignment help... went to reid to photocopy stuff and bumped into helen who was heading to work and i asked her if she needed a lift since she worked in the same shopping center as i... still had a bit of time so went back to mcl for a while then left to go to work... it was quiet so i asked if i could leave early. went home, cooked rice, showered, packed lunch, fed the dog, made tea, left to uni. camped til just after 2am. went home, slept at 3am

woke up at 9:30... reached uni at 11:10am. went through stats assignment one last time before handing it in, worked on stats lab for that week. went for lunch at 1pm with adam and asian rob. $8.50 asian buffet... not far from uni either. errr food wasn't awesome. but $8.50 buffet? what do you expect?

went back to uni, printed a map of how to get to the airport at eng. called chris who just finished class and was about to head into the city. so figured i'd might as well tag along since i had an hour to kill. waited for him, drove to nb, walked around looking for mooncake [SIGH. surprised it was quite hard to find the type i was looking for]

walked him to k3g for his haircut. picked up this mooncake that i had settled on while walking back to the car.

pretty proud i made it to the airport from the city. considering i've never driven that route before. google maps on your phone is so handy. uber hate traffic though. cars were barely moving on tonkin.

ate some mooncake while waiting for parents at the airport. picked them up.. drove into that "pick up" bay to see my dad's worried/horrified  face at the front/side bit of the car. kinda freaked out thinking i had dented it unknowingly. but it was because the tyre was flat. when we got home dad checked it and it had a nail in it... [PHEW it was the day my parents got back and not while i was driving  home from uni at 2am haha]

anyways. parents are back. YAY for homecooked meals. and new shoes. and no more needing to feed the dog and water the plants. *hugs parents* you really learn to appreciate them when they're not around and you have to fend for yourself.

well i had my first babysitting thingo this week!

it was great :) zeke is SOOOOOOOOO cute. like i know most babies are cute, but he is just super cute.

and he's so easy to look after. he totally just slept the whole time without waking up. and before that he was quite fun to play around with, even though he kept falling over it was so cute x) he does the cutest things! he like walks to the corner of their kitchen and tips over the soft drink bottles. and then if you put them back up again, he'll go back and tip them over! ahaha, gosh i hope my baby will be as cute as he is :(

i even noticed on the kitchen bench that huy had bought grace tulips and that made me go NAWWWWWWWW. super cute!

and i took dad out for dinner for his birthday (since i missed it while in sydney) and we went to chatters. that place has such nice decor, it's a great place for atmosphere. and the food is pretty good too.

my dad is quite awkward when it comes to conversations (my friends know, he always talks to ryeei about turning her dog into a hot dog lol) but it was nice. and didn't turn out too bad

how pretty is the desserts? one of the main reasons why i chose to go to chatters.

it was very tough to eat though! i even had trouble after i had asked for a knife!

it's been a good finish to these holidays i guess, except for the large amount of umat study i've had to do.

but lets hope it all pays off for next week :)

today i am rather happy at a few things...

firstly my infection's healing has progressed quite nicely. forcing myself to stay at home was a bit annoying. but at least i got some study done. the scabs are slowly peeling off one by one (eww sounds so disgusting haha) - i hope i'm not left with any scars

 secondly, ryeei bought me some new nailpolish, and it's the same colour as (or at least, quite close to) my new handbag that i bought in sydney. *insert big cheesy smile here*. because i bought that bag because i quite liked the colour haha.

thirdly, today i was sitting in my room doing umat, and started to crave for some banana bread/cake. so i got up and went into the kitchen, saw this thing that looked like bread on the bench, then realized it was actually some kind of cake. i took the glad wrap off and IT SMELT LIKE BANANA. zmgsh xD it was banana cake. HEHE.

ahh sydney!

went to dfo yesterday (and spent lotsaa moneyy already!! on my first dayy T__T) and then for korean bbq for dinner. yums!

so far it's been good :) it's been nice catching up with ken. haven't seen him in two years. he's being such a gentleman though, trying to pay for my stuff and always holding my bags and opening the door etc.. it's sweet but geeeeeeeeez i do have my own hands lol man, people must look at us and think that i am such an abuser but it's not my fault T__T

had a good night sleep last night too haha. was pretty tired from the early morning flight.

anyways we're going to go exploring today! so i better get ready :)

gosh, eating food i dislike is starting to become daily...

 i don't usually. but it was covered in nice tasting gravy which made up for it.

and some that i just can't take at all...

so i remember once, sitting at the dinner table at my boyfriend's house...

and his mother continuously asking me if i wanted some chilli (paste thing in a jar)..

and i am pretty sure i refused like at least 3 times.. and it's not like she doesn't know that i don't / can't eat chilli...

but anyways i faintly remember my boyfriend saying something like "she doesn't want any ok!" in chinese...

and his mum replying something like "so what? she's not going to eat it for the rest of her life?" also in chinese.

me being well, me... didn't understand a word. so just sat there staring at my food...... feeling the tension in the air.

but after he told me the words that were exchanged and was saying how his mum rekons that because i don't eat it, it means i won't cook it, meaning that in the future he / our kids won't eat it blahblah..

so anyways, my boyfriend is quite an odd one... even though he doesn't like something, he will still eat it...

me? i pick it out man. like EWWW MUSHROOMS!!!!!!!!!!~

so when i went to eat my dinner tonight and saw chunks of THIS in it...

i decided to just force myself to eat it.

now don't get  me wrong.  it was mixed in a whole stack of noodles and probably would have been pretty hard to keep putting aside. and plus celery just falls into the "dislike" category.. not the strongly dislike / hate / can't take it at all category.

i still wouldn't eat it like i would just chomp up cucumber or carrot... and yes i still dislike it. but it's not as bad as i thought it would be when mixed with other things.

but yes. today i ate celery...

x  saw about three fire engines at the underground train stn, what was going on! *googles*

x  took the bus to uni

x  met up with josh & kavin to give them their bubble tea

x  kavin bought me a new flask and a pack of highlights =D

x  went to my 2203 lecture and sat nxt to david

x  met up with josh, and spent an hour fighting with him on ground floor of the science library

x  met up with ange, chris, aaron & steven for cupcakes in the ref

x  went to my 2212 lecture and sat next to christine, gab & david....... almost fell asleep.

x  gave up on the lecture and went to meet josh ange and aaron at reid cafe, who were playing big2 with $7.95 Dora the Explorer cards

x  looked up directions to carousel from uni, mel joins us to play cards

x  the game ends, josh aaron & i head to the car

x  after dropping aaron home we head to carousel to catch a movie because hoyts give u a free tix on ur bday xD

x  we bawled our eyes during 'the last song'......... ahaha, nice movie, but a bit too depressing for a birthday i think

x  we head into the city to get some dinner at outback jacks

x  the food was alright, not as good as i thought it would be =( my bad, since i picked where we'd eat. i was really craving some good ribs too! but they weren't that great. much prefer lackers or tony romas

as my sister will happily blurt out, i'm not very good with food.

not to say that i don't appreciate food, but i'm not into fancy gourmet stuff...

and i'm quite happy with a bacon deluxe from hjs... or a steak from hogs breath.

so there are still many food places i haven't been (which usually become more apparent when louis names a list of food places and i'm like "whats that?" "where's that?")

so yesterday i went to lil caesars for the first time (.. shuddup! haha) and san churros in leedy...

i've heard of them both before from louis and nig, but never found the time to go..

so off i went with timmie and my sister.. to experience this 'so good' food

excuse my not so good phone camera (another reason why i should get the jet!)

anyways. the pizza was good. although i didn't like the pumpkin, sundried tomatos and onion. and the churros was nice too except reallllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyy chocolatey. esp the "hot and cold" drink i got, it was like drinking diluted yogo (no joke!)

must go try this alfresco place louis and tim talk about.. oh and jus burgers too... i like burgers.

so after finding a recipe in the STM for peppermint slice, i figured i'd try to make it (instead of always buying the one at uni for $3/slice.

Look wise, it turned out okay. Not as smooth looking as it should be, but hey, i don't cook remember.

It was very easy to make, basically melting chocolate and adding vegetable shortening and peppermint essence.

The most difficult bit was finding the chocolate melting pot i have, since my mother had packed it away in a box (under another 8 boxes) in the computer room.

So anyways. i sliced it up.. 

note... i am really bad at cutting things so that they're all the same size..

and yeah. lots of it just crumbled *sad face*

so anyways, today is sunday, the first sunday of february to be exact - which in other words is vision sunday. we had community lunch together as a church, with a sausage sizzle... and whoever made that potato salad, did a really good job hey. it was nice :)

so the rest of my day has been sorta cleaning my room. still in the process of it btw. and i found this note. i don't remember why  he sent it. there's no date, which is kinda sad. but all the same, it's quite cute.

also spent some time making a little collage for the family computer using photofunia and pain.. lovelove.

well today i had a date with the boyfriend :)

he picked  me up from work and then came back to my place. i had a shower, then we left to BURSWOOD!

we had dinner at carvers, and walked past all the fancy casino stuff on the way haha.

the pork was good! and i really liked the soup they had today. too bad the chocolate icecream machine wasn't working :(

after that we headed to the outdoor cinema to watch the time travellers wife...

it was kindaa rushed because i knew it would be packedd, so yeah got there just after 7:30 and it was yes. packed haha. i think i overheard the lady at the counter say there was like 400 people.

we eventually found a spot to the side where we placed a  rug and opened up my sleeping bag to use as a blanket.

and yes it was nice, even though my boyfriend fell asleep for more than half the movie ahaha. and by fall asleep, i mean seriously fall asleep! lol. poor boyy, he was so tired.

and then we came back to my place, and he tried on the two shirts and pair of shorts i got him, and they fit perfectly, so i'm quite happy about that. but i should have probably given that to him before we went to burswood (because he was in his work uniform the whole night lol, and it was so hot... nawws)

 and you have no idea how happy that makes mee..

the fact that we've been so up and down, but it's cruising quite nicely at the moment :) things are back on track.
