♥ the liv uni tote
this bag is called the liv uni tote. it is from sportsgirl.
and timmie bought it for me on our birthday present shopping trip.
i've been hunting for this particular bag, since i first saw it online, the black had sold out all around WA, except for the murray st store.. but the last time i went in there, they didn't have it...!
ahhhhhh but when we went there last friday... it was there! the last one!
and seriously, it is the most amazing thing EVER. it fits EVERYTHING! my file. my laptop. my lunch. my keys, phone, pencil case. it has all these compartments and pockets. and you can have it on the shoulder like a handbag or on the slide like a slingbag!
yes i might sound overly excited. but that is because i've been looking for the perfect uni bag for ages now...! and i have finally have it! *superhappy*

♥ ikea. coffee. update.
ikea is amazing.
I was feeling pretty bleh today, so I dragged myself out of the house and tagged along with louis and co to the big yellow and blue building
They have this totally awesome "eat your discount" deal this week, which basically means.. you eat at their cafe / restaurant, and however much you spent on food, gets deducted from your purchases at the check out
HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
I was very happy. Even though I got lost....
Anyways I just think it's such a good idea. It attracts so many customers and everyone is happy!
We even went to san churros after and got free coffee (yes, did you know, every wednesday in my, they were doing free copy? AMAZING. even though i hate coffee.)
Anyways, I know I haven't blogged about my life in a while. What's been happening?
Med's getting better. Or maybe I'm becoming more tolerant.
Exams are in like two weeks, and I'm being....... rather lazy. Which is not good. Especially with an assessed oral presentation and report due next week...
Seriously, what am I doing?
Time to get off my butt and do some work...
On other news, I've officially dropped generate and taken up lifegroup leadership.
Generate. I don't know. My excuse was that I didn't have enough time. And that's true. But I guess what's more true is that, I didn't feel like I was getting that much out of it. Investing time into something that wasn't particularly worth while for me.. I guess it's just silly. The culture of the group as well, was a bit odd I thought. I just find it really weird that it's "normal" to put together all these people passionate about eradicating poverty - and they come together to head out, party and get drunk. I don't know, maybe because it's not my thing, that I don't understand. Most of all, I just felt there was this BIG thing missing in everything they do. And I realized it even on camp... they're missing God in the whole process. Everything they do, they rely on human effort and money. They want to give people food to keep them alive, but what about hope? faith? life? eternal life.
Lifegroup leadership. I think this is where God wants me to be right now. This is where I can grow. This is where I can be influential to others. This is where I want to be right now.
And that's what's been happening in a nutshell.

♥ 2011 diary
the hunt for a 2011 diary began yesterday night...
first to kmart... then to bigW... the newsagency and then reddot.
nope. nothing. oh there was the breast cancer foundation one, but i had it two years ago and the pages were quite thin...
so it continued this morning. trekked to karrinyup and picked up chris along the way.
first the kikki k. some of them were quite nice. but totally overpriced. like seriously >=[ i refuse to pay $30 for a diary...
next was david jones. yup nothing good there...
then smiggle. last year i had a pretty decent purple smiggle diary which i had left at reddot before it got renovated - and it had dissappeared... then i got another smiggle one, this time a square graphic diary - but because it was already nearly half way through the year, it was on sale for only $3! so when i saw a similiar square graphic diary for $15...... i just couldn't bring myself to buy it. and when i went looking for the normal A5 diaries - they were all shiney O__O and like glossy, plasticy and weird. very weird. *dislike*. oh there was a pretty nice weekly planner thing - but it didn't have dates! you had to like.. circle it yourself, and i'm too lazy

then we took a break from our diary hunting and went to HJs for brekky.
after regaining some energy, we went to myer, bigW, the newagency and back to kikki k (where chris decided to buy his 2011 diary)
but me? what did i buy?
i finally found one i liked in myer! it was 30% off too :)
it's part of an artist exclusive range... and by nadia flower
metal spiral bind. hard cardboard front & back cover. A5 size. white pages -not too thin. a week to a double page spread. week numbers on each page. yearly planner at the front. spare pages at the back (both lined and blank). ahh it's perfect!
and i quite like the cover.
so yeah i went to her website and i must say, she has some pretty awesome artwork. some pretty abstract stuff too.
ahh. so yes, i'm very happy with my new 2011 diary. wohoo - goodbye disorganisation, it was bad enough having you around for a few days.

♥ shoes, suncream and flowers
well today i met up with joshfu for brekky - dimsum and then we hit harbor after to do a bit of shopping
i bought my secret santa present for danielle's christmas party (so happy with the present *big smile*)
and bought myself a top and two pairs of shoes for an absolute bargain.
originally i bought this pair of canvas laced white shoes thinking i'd bring them to cambo.. but they're white.. and i kinda like them.... and i don't know if i want to bring them there to get dirty anymore =[
we actually ended up shopping for quite a while (i didn't realize) and then i had to rush to babysitting while josh rushed to work (i think he ended up being late.. oops)
zeke today was quite good. not as active as last time *PHEW* haha and he warmed up to me quite quickly
we went to the park after grace had left.. and he wouldn't wear his hat! he kept taking it off..
and when i tried to put suncream on his face.. he kept asking for MOREEE and MOREEE suncream, pointing and trying to grab the suncream bottle lol...
![]() |
| moreeeeee... moreeeeeeeeeeeee? |
he seemed to like the other hat better and stopped taking it off which was good
![]() |
| nomnomnom |
anyways he is quite the giggler. when he was on the swings and i tickled him everytime he reached where i was standing he'd giggle.. and when we were playing pikaboo on the playground with the walls and stuff... he is quite a bundle of laughter that one...
ahh but when huy came home. he was so excited! as huy swung him around and tickled him, he let out such a uncontrollable loud laugh/giggle which was super duper cute! that laugh he let out... it was amazing! the kind that reflects such immense joy and happiness. it was such a pretty sight *sigh*.
picked up mum and came home to a beautiful bunch of flowers from the boyfriend for our *counts* twentytwo months.
![]() |
| i love the lilies <3 |
on the way home from picking mum up i had a splitting headache. i think it might be from the lack of sleep, dehydration or maybe i'm getting sick.
so yes, early night for me tonight. with work bright and early tomorrow morning in the city
slightly overdoing it i think, but aiming for a more cruisey week next weekkk..

♥ Pens
The asian rob in my stats class is quite obsessed with his stationery.
Like usually i'll spend maybe 2/3 bucks on a pacer.
Yeah. He'll spend like 20. He even owns 0.2mm led. He has a weakness for officeworks.
So anyways i kinda need some new pens for uni and i decided i'd grab a bargain off ebay.
But no. The pens on there are just as, if not more, expensive! Quite disappointed.
Back to good old bigW for me.. until end of the year when i will takeover the stationery shops in malaysia! woo.

♥ Nikon D3000
yes, that is right... i bought it!
after weeks of contemplating and searching for the best price...
i grabbed a lift with rob and adam to officeworks and bought the last one...
asking them to beat the price from camerahouse, of course.
i haven't had much time to play with it - it's oh so tempting though. but i have an essay due monday which i haven't started...
i've ordered a few accessories, and they should be coming in the mail hopefully in the next week or two. but until then, the camera remains at home... because i don't have a case to take it out with.
| the very first picture! |
| poor jacko hates photos... |
yeahhh i still don't know how to use it. but even on auto settings the photos turn out better than the standard point and shoot...
i will get better... when i actually learn how to use this thing... eventually.

thank goodness only $30 of it was actually for me..
the rest is what people ordered through me... (and yes, i made sure they paid me before i ordered haha)
yuuuuuuup. to save on combined postage.
now i wonder how the wongfu guys are going to post it all to me.. it's A LOT of stuff xD
especially as there's like six awkward animals... o__O they would take up a lot of room...
NAWWWS.
can't believe we spent $701 collectively. that's insane.

♥ movie + kfc + shops + beach + BF = a lovely day
i had a lovely day with the boyfriend today. literally took off the whole day from doing umat (AHHH it was SO good!) but going to stay up and do some tonight (i can't escape!)
well my day started off with dropping mum at work so i could take the car. then i went to koorong to pick up the books for the bookstore stand we're going to have at mission conference.
then i went to pick up josh and we went to watch KNIGHT & DAY!
yeahh it was pretty good, good mix of action and humor and stuff hehe.
then we dropped back to his place so he could eat his lunch that his mum cooked
then we went to karrinyup kfc and ate more food. dude kfc lunch value picks things are goooood, or at least the chicken is good haha. yeah it was good because i've been kinda craving kfc but when i worked last wednesday i couldn't be bothered walking all the way there...... so opted for the foodcourt.
after lunch we went to the shops and did a walk away, dropped by my old workplace to say hi. karrinyup's changed quite a bit, i haven't been there in like six months which is probably why.. but yeah, bought a pair of jeans from french connection and went back to work to get them altered xD. sat down and had ice chocolates and had a nice chat.
then picked up my jeans, and headed to the beach. i was in boots and stockings and josh was in jeans but OH WELL. the sun was so nice, i couldn't resist sitting in the sand on the beach. josh was a bit grumpy about it at first. soooooooo unromantic (josh: DO WE HAVE TO WALK ON THE SAND??? CAN'T WE SIT ON THE GRASS INSTEAD??????) sigh!
took some photos, we haven't really taken many the last times we've been out. but we should! memory catching. but i guess we've just got SO many from the first few months we were dating (my fault HEHE)
i probably won't get to see him so much when uni starts, esp with his course becoming more intense i guess. and that's just going to be more increasingly difficult as years go by... soooo i gotta make the most of it now :)

♥ Sydney Trip
The Sydney Journey
The past 10 days has consisted of little sleep, long days, new friends and lots of shopping.
My trip to Sydney begun on a Tuesday morning. Ken picked me up and straight to DFO we went! No time wasted, shopping was definitely on the top of the list of priorities. I’ve been to Sydney before, especially when I was on YOTY tour and did all the “tourist-y” things. I wasn’t interested in the museum, art gallery, library, zoo etc. I wanted to shop. I wanted to eat. I wanted to not be a tourist. Yet still enjoy all the normal everyday things Sydney has to offer.
Shopping was actually pretty good. Despite Ken trying to pay for my things, he was actually really helpful. He helped find sizes on the racks. He helped look through piles of clothes for designs. And every time he help up a shirt or a shoe and I said “nah it’s too _________”, he actually remembered all the things I didn’t like to find something that I did. Quite amazing for a guy I thought. Very handy shopping buddy.
For dinner we headed to Strathfield for some Korean BBQ. Then off we went to Tamara’s place in Double Bay. It was quite a nice / fancy suburb.
Wednesday, Ken came over and we went for a short walk around the suburb. It’s such a pretty place. There was this cool wharf thingo with a view of the city and lots of nice boats around.
Then we headed into town. Dim Sum in China Town for brunch, Paddy’s markets and into the heart of Sydney for more shopping. Market City was interesting. Some awesome stuff there for good prices. Grabbed some take away asian for dinner (porridge & duck with rice) and went back to Tamara’s to eat.
Next day, Ken picked me up and we were meant to head somewhere (I forgot where) but basically we got lost and somehow ended up going down this long stretch of road (that was on the way to the airport) that had no exists. So we ended up just deciding to go to Bankstown or Campbelltown or something like that – I don’t remember exactly the name of the suburb. We had lunch at this cool Sportsbar thing that had some pretty gardens inside and a variety of different restaurants. We then went hunting for my mum’s asian cake moulds which was way more difficult than I was hoping.
Dropped by the “Italian Forum” which is like this place which is surrounded by apartments and has little restaurants and ice-cream parlours – and it looks just like Italy (well, at least looks like what I would think Italy would look like). Grabbed some icecream. Got a parking fine (whoops). Went to USyd to check out where I’d be spending the next week. It’s quite an old school look uni. Ken took me around. Got some pretty pictures. Sat down in the library and talked for a while.
Then headed to Darling Harbor for dinner. Was lining up for some fancy Italian restaurant but then gave up because it was taking too long and I didn’t want to be home too late. Ended up getting Aportos! My first time! It reminds me of nandos haha. Then we went home and said our final goodbyes.
It was really good to catch up with Ken while I was in Sydney. I hadn’t seen him in 2 years. He’s a real gentleman, the kind of guy who opens the car door for you, pays for all your meals / things, checks if you are okay quite often. Now as much as that is sweet, I sorta kept having to tell him to not. “Dude, I can open the door myself”, “STOP paying for my stuff, you’re more broke than me!”, “I am FINEE, I just make funny noises at random times”. It’s not surprising to hear how his past girlfriends have been using him somewhat – he’s such a pushover, the poor boy.
Friday, I slept in. Was contemplating whether I should stay at home and rest but I got bored so ended up finding my way to the train station (which NO ONE told me was UPHILL btw!) and took it to Bondi Junction for some more shopping! My arms ached by the end because I wasn’t use to having to carry them (since Ken had been stealing them for me). It was a massive Westfield! Did even more shopping. Yup, definitely overdid the shopping this trip haha. Not as bad as I have done before, but still.
Saturday Alvin picked me up from Tamara’s. And I moved into his apartment at Bondi Junction (it was soooo coooool). Then we headed out to town for lunch – Ramen at this Japanese place in a food court in China Town. One of Alvin’s friends had recommended it. The soup was really thick (but it’s meant to be like that) – tasty though.
Then we went to watch WEST SIDE STORY! My first musical! It was better than I would expect from a musical. Alvin says Wicked is really really good so I’m quite tempted to go (tickets are just soooooo expensive ~ eeek).
Then I met one of Alvin’s friends and went back to the apartment to get ready for dinner. And we went to this nice Italian restaurant in Newtown and met more of Alvin’s friends.
And that was the first 5 days! The summit began Sunday. But that’s for another blog.

Btw, I’ve been writing this on the plane (arghh such a long plane ride! 5 whole hours)
