♥ increasing my vocab

sigh. i use to be pretty good in english... up to like year 11.
then i did english lit. and i would pass, no matter what i wrote, thanks to God's grace, but i guess i never really put in as much effort as i could have.

anyways. the second section of umat is "understanding people"
and it uses a lot of big words (okay, not really big, but words i rarely use, and don't fully understand)

so.. its time to up the vocab a bit... but the first step is to understand what they mean!

resentful: Inclined to resent; full of or tending to harbor negative emotion; easily provoked to anger; irritable...
resent:
a feeling of deep and bitter anger and ill-will
resigned: accept as inevitable; acceptance of despair
anxiety: a vague unpleasant emotion that is experienced in anticipation of some (usually ill-defined) misfortune ; a sense of apprehension and fear often marked by physical symptoms (such as sweating, tension, and increased heart rate)
apprehension: fearful expectation or anticipation
anxious: The state of being anxious; nervous, excited
hostile: characterized by enmity or ill will; very unfavorable to life or growth; a state of deep-seated ill-will ; aggression
patronised: treat condescendingly
condescend: to do something that one considers to be below one's dignity
indifferent: apathetic: marked by a lack of interest; Not caring; apathetic; Mediocre, usually used negatively in modern usage; Being in the state of neutral equilibrium
melancholy: a feeling of thoughtful sadness
reflective: brooding: deeply or seriously thoughtful; devoted to matters of the mind
incredulous: not disposed or willing to believe; unbelieving; Skeptical, in shock;
forlorn: marked by or showing hopelessness; abandoned, left behind, deserted; miserable, as when lonely being abandoned
contempt: lack of respect accompanied by a feeling of intense dislike; open disrespect for a person or thing
impregnable: immune to attack; incapable of being overcome, challenged or refuted
incompetent: not qualified or suited for a purpose;
indignant:
angered at something unjust or wrong
