well today i took some time out from what is usually a busy schedule, and attended pete's funeral
it's my first funeral i've ever been to, and to be honest, i much prefer weddings. but i'm sure most peope do.
i didn't really know what to expect, never having been to one before. but it was a very emotional time.
i heart totally broke for kaye, his wife. i just can't imagine how it feels, to lose your partner... after 51 years of being together. how hard it must be to even comprehend..
the lady who spoke through the funeral was quite nice, even though she was being paid, and had never met pete, you could tell she toook the time to sit down with the family to learn about him, to catch up to what a wonderful man he was, before she talked about him.
i laid a yellow rose on top of his coffin where the lions flag laid. and his policeman hat, in which he served in, for 38 years.
i saw teaghan at the funeral, i haven't seen her since primary school. and i didn't even know that pete was her grandfather. it was good seeing her, but at quite unfortunate circumstances.
anyways, i don't have much more to say.other then that kaye told me she told pete how she had heard i was starting up a leos club at uni, and how he had a big smile on his face... and she told me to do it for him.
